Lewes House of Friendship
Lewes House of Friendship is based at 208 High Street, Lewes (next to Flint Owl Bakery). We provide a range of activities of interest to older members of the local community and a place where you can meet for companionship and to make new friends - we also offer teas, coffees and a hot lunch.
Opening Times
We are open from 9.30am to 1.15pm, Monday to Friday.
Home -cooked lunches for £7 (members) and £8 (visitors) - served at 12.30pm. Please call us to book ahead, by the previous day at the latest, on 01273 476469. Let us know if you have any allergies or need a vegetarian option.

St George's Day is tomorrow - a reminder to all who have booked that Keith will be offering his super battered Cod and Chips, as a British favourite, followed by Apple Pie with cream - and this is toffee cream, for a treat. Lunch will be at 13.30 pm as usual.
New Members to join our activity groups are always welcome - just come in a little before the starting time to speak to the Leader.
Golden Yoga started last Tuesday : it's chair based yoga, where the aim is to improve balance, strength and overall wellbeing. We do hope that those who came for the taster will be back this week, and new members will always be welcome: the class will run every Tuesday between 2 - 3pm.
.Lewes Bereavement Circle: this is a free group to support anyone who has lost someone close to them through death, either recently or some time ago. It is open to anyone living in Lewes or the surrounding villages.
The group will be meeting at Lewes House of Friendship on Wednesdays at 1.30pm, the next course begins on 1st May. If you are interested in coming to the group, please call in at the Lewes House of Friendship any weekday morning to collect an enquiry form, ring us on 01273 476469 or email us at abisaunderscounselling@gmail.com . We’ll then give you a ring to give you more details about the dates and times. The courses will run for 6 sessions weekly and we hope that you will find the help and support you need.
All hot drinks here are £2 - coffee, tea or hot chocolate and we are offering tea/coffee and toast for £3.00, from 10 am to 11.45 am
Membership
A reminder to existing members that the annual Membership Fee is now due: still £15 for one or £25 for a couple -
Existing members are asked to bring their membership card for updating when they come in to pay for 2024. Thank you.

Please note that we have a card reader, so you may like to pay by card when you come in. Otherwise cash or a cheque is fine - payable to "Lewes House of Friendship", thank you.
Volunteers Needed!
Could you spare around an hour over lunchtime one day per week, to help us deliver hot lunches to our members?
